Almost Halloween!
I gutted the 20+ pound pumpkins tonight. They were very…flakey for lack of a better word. And very moist and cold because we’ve been keeping them out on the balcony since saturday. But at least it’s done. I still like that part of halloween. I’m not sure what I’m going to carve in it though. I also filled the kids treat bags. I never see many but this time I don’t work till 6 so maybe I’ll catch a few more of the younger ones that go out early.
I’m starting to think I should try watching Saw. I’ve never seen any of them because they don’t really appeal to me. I love horror movies, but I’m a little bit picky about them. My favorite ones are Japanese horror movies. Well I suppose Asian horror movies because The Eye was a great movie (the original Hong Kong version, I haven’t watched the American remake). My friend said I may like it because it’s psychological, which I prefer to monster movies. But in my opinion it looks too bloody. My favorite horror movie is The Grudge (the American remake). It creeped me out completely and has made it hard for me walk through our tiny pitch black hall at night when all the lights are out. And it’s the one movie that’s made bed, which is usually the ‘safe-place’, not so comforting. I’ve seen the Japanese original too and loved it. I have a couple other Asian horror movies to watch, Dark Water and…I’ve forgotten the name of the other. I think they’re both Japanese as well. I still need to see The Ring (both versions) and The Grudge two (both versions).
And now I’m going to see if I can find out when the Garfield Halloween special is on…if I haven’t already missed it. I’ve got It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown on the computer. I cannot for the life of me find the Sleepy Hollow Disney cartoon (which I think was something like Mr. Toad and Icabod Crane or some kind of collection type thing). I’m dying to find it! Anyone know where I could get it?? I also wish they would release Mr. Boogedy on DVD…I don’t think anyone believes me that it exists.
Anyways, I probably won’t blog again for at least a few days so… HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Pumpkin carving is so much fun. We did that a few days ago and I took the seed and made Roasted Pumpkin Seeds (recipe on my website).
The Saw movies are alright … I personally won’t watch them without my fiance’ because I find them very creepy and disturbing. HA! But I’m looking forward to seeing the newest one.
Happy Halloween!

Very nice, I really enjoyed that. Do you know of somewhere I can read more about it?
