NaNoWriMo
Well, I’ve decided to challenge myself. While commenting on anothers site I noticed they had mentioned NaNoWriMo…National Novel Writing Month. I was intruiged because I use to love writing! So I decided to check out the site last night. The challenge is to write a 50,000 word story in a month. It began yesterday, Nov. 1st, and ends Nov. 30th. I’ve decided that it couldn’t hurt to try! It’s a little bit intimidating when I think about how many words that is, especially since all I wrote yesterday was under 200 words. And I probably won’t write much tonight because we will be watching either the Canucks game or the first disc of Heroes Season 2. For anyone who would also like to check out NaNoWriMo, click the button!
This also means that I will probably hold off on making any changes to Ever Changing. I had kept meaning to sit down and really think about what I want to do with it, but I get distracted easily. Hopefully by the new year I will have some kind of new layout, and more content. I also want to get my original writing and art site up in the new year, but that’s at the bottom of list, under my photo site and my photoblog (I think my photoblog will be up by the end of the month since I got my new camera).

My name is Carla. I'm a Canadian girl, Coca~Cola drinker, loyal Canucks fan, avid Stephen King reader, amateur photographer, Legend of Zelda addict and wannabe pirate. And yes, I know I'm a dork.

Good luck with that. I know quite a few people that is participating. Hopefully you’ll be able to go the distance.

Wow, I have never hurd of nanowrimo before. It seems really fun & interesting. however, i always seem to develope a convienant writer’s block when Im on a schedule =\ Now when Im under no pressure or time constraint the words/stories/poetry/etc just flow out of me! Good luck with your story! -

That is wonderful you have decided to give it a go. And you know it’s not always about getting to the 50,000 words, but trying and see how far you can get. Last year I was only able to write 10,000 words but that was the best I had ever done. I usually write a lot of short stories, so writing a huge amount takes a lot of time and effort but I am happy to try.
I wish you the best of luck. :)
