I'm dreaming of a white christmas *fingers crossed*

It’s still snowing! This is really unheard of in Victoria. It rarely snows, and if it does snow it never last more then a day or two. It’s been here for a week now! There’s probably 6 inches out there right now and I think it’s still falling. I couldn’t be happier!! This could possibly be only the second I’ve seen snow on Chrstmas day! I’m too excited and have a feeling I may end up sorely disappointed, if it warms up even a little bit the snow could turn to rain and wash my dream away. But for now I’m going to enjoy this snow while the rest of Victoria curses it.

We drove through the snow to get to the Salmon Kings game last night. I meant to blog when I got home because there was something I wanted to ramble about but now I can’t remember precisely what it was. I do know that the game was good! They were a little flat and not so good on the passes, but that’s normal really. I do remember one of the Alaska Aces getting injured. Everyone clapped when they got him up off the ice and took him to the bench, as everyone should, but they also played the M*A*S*H theme song over the speakers. I couldn’t tell if that was wrong or not. The guy was hurt, and it wasn’t meant to be mean spirited or anything, but in a way it seemed a little bit wrong. I do like that they play the Law & Order theme when guys get sent to the penalty box. There was a penalty shot, which I don’t get to see often, and the Salmon King that took the shot scored. Wes Goldie (the captain and my current favorite player) scored a couple goals. All in all it was a great night!

I guess this post is mostly just to say that I love snow, and all snow hater can just keep their opinions away from me! lol I’m joking of course, I know there are good reasons to not like snow, but I find it’s given me a childish kind of excitement that I just don’t get around Christmas much anymore.

Knowing me this may be my last post before Christmas, unless something really exciting happens, so I say to all MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, HAPPY [insert holiday here]. Whatever your celebrate or don’t I wish you all a great winter and a Happy New Year! Even though I will probably post again before then…

  1. I’ve never seen real snow. It must be super cold there!

  2. UGH – you can have the snow. lol We’ve had two snowstorms here in western Washington since last Thursday and there’s another due on Tuesday. I don’t like snow, especially when it makes it impossible for me to leave my house. XD I absolutely love wintertime but I could do without the snow.

  4. Yeah, I’ve been told it’s supposed to rain today and take all of the snow away which would be sad. I always say there are only two occasions where I will enjoy snow; On Christmas day and during the school year if it will cancel school haha. I hope you have a lovely Christmas!

  6. Wow! It snowed there? Lucky! I’m sure that looks and feels great! I haven’t experienced snow here in our country. :|

  7. Merry Christmas! it’s also the first white Christmas Seattle has had in… I don’t even know how long! It was so pretty but driving in the snow is no fun.

  8. It never snows in the country (or, I’ve never experienced it, but then Philippines is a tropical country, so shrugs). I don’t even remember how many times I’ve already said this, but I wish I could see and feel real snow upon my skin. Most of the bloggers whose blogs I’ve read tell of their disdain for snow, and I’m glad to have stumbled upon a blog post that conveys excitement for it. :)

Wait, which of the Law & Order theme? Opening? Or “The Ching,” as they call it? :D

    Happy holidays! :)
