So far so good
Well it doesn’t particularly feel any different then last year, except for the “have a good year“s instead of “have a good day”. It does bring about thoughts of hopes and resolutions. I’ve decided to document my ‘goals’ here on this blog so that I can have a reference lol (and I have this weird love of making lists). They’re not resolutions, because they are not commiments that need to be met, they are just things I would like to happen if I can make it happen. I know people will still say they are the same thing, but I know what I mean.
Anyways, here are my goals for 2009:
- Take more pictures
- Plan and save up to start printing cards/postcards etc
- Go to Europe
- Walk more
- Read at least 20 books by November (goal is 50)
- get a picture of the cat with something christmasy for christmas cards
- organize and add to Ever Changing
- learn more settings on my Canon Rebel XSi
- beat all three NES Super Mario Bros. games
Yes, some of them are odd, but they are all things I would like to do. The last one was just for fun. Europe is actually something that we’re trying for in September, so that’s basically trying not to spend money on pointless things. I have a Rebel XSi for Dummies book on it’s way so that should help with learning more about my camera. The first one is most important to me. I don’t go out nearly enough specifically to take pictures. I’ve started a list of places I’d like to go so I’m not just wandering around the same places all the time. There’s so much beautiful scenery, parks and beaches around here.
Oh and a little hockey to end this post…YAY CANADA! I didn’t watch any of the World Juniors this year except the last period of tonights gold medal game. Wasn’t too surprised to see they were winning already. And as for the Canucks, the new goalie, LaBarbera is playing very very good! I am quite impressed. Yesturday he made an awesome save, and Tom & Shortie were going nuts in the pressbox. Unfortunately they still can’t win shootouts. And the Salmon Kings are on a 13-game winning streak! I had so much fun at the game on Saturday, and got to highfive Marty (the Marmot…the mascot). It was a pretty good weekend for the most part.
…I just hate Luigi…I can’t seem to win in Mario Party 8 with him as one of the computer players.

My name is Carla. I'm a Canadian girl, Coca~Cola drinker, loyal Canucks fan, avid Stephen King reader, amateur photographer, Legend of Zelda addict and wannabe pirate. And yes, I know I'm a dork.

That’s the spirit! Resolutions are just stupid. 90% of all new years resolutions are probably broken and then the people who made them feel bad for not succeeding. Regular goals is so much better. Takes the pressure off you aswell.
Reading more is a great goal. Like you read in my blog that’s one of my goals aswell. And since reading is so much fun it’s not a very hard goal either.

Everyone seems to be listing down reading xxx number of books as one of their resolutions. I think God is trying to tell me something, lol.
Luigi annoys me too, but in Super Smash. Oh well, he’s annoying nonetheless.

Wow, those are nice goals! Haha. Good luck on your reading, I’m sure you will enjoy it. :)
NES Super Mario Bros.? Woah. I don’t have all three. :(

Those are some good resolutions. They’re easy and reasonable. Hopefully you can keep them all!

Good luck trying to accomplish your goals! I don’t really make any so I’ll just send good vibes to those who do. :D

Very cool, I really enjoyed it. Do you know of somewhere I can read more about it?
