Getting there...
That title refers to two things. The first is my photography site. I finally added two new galleries after many many months of not changing a thing. I also changed the gallery script, so hopefully it’s working okay. I’m not sure if it was a better idea then lightbox since it opens in the layout so some people will probably have to scroll down to see the pictures, but it’s so much easier to upload and organize them this way. If you’d like to check it out my photo site is here: Frame For Thought .
The other is Inkheart. I’m finally third quarters of the way through it. It’s taken me longer then I would have liked, but I’m getting there. It’s not too bad, but it’s too easy to read for me, which shouldn’t be surprising because I’m a Stephen King fan reading a Scholastic book. But it’s a neat story. The movie should be alright I would think. Though after reading the book, the character “Mo” doesn’t sound anything like a Brendan Fraser character to me. But supposedly that’s who the writer had in mind when it was written. Who knows. I have a feeling in the movie Mo isn’t going to be as softhearted as he is in the book. Of course the story probably won’t follow in the same way so he may not need to be.
Once I finish Inkheart I can finally start on one of the many other books I have. There were four I bought at Chapters last week 4 for $10. I probably blogged about it before, but that’s okay lol. I think I’m going to read one of those first. I’m not sure which one yet. I picked all four after reading the backs. One of them I ended up getting almost purely because it was called The Photograph by Virginia Ellis. It’s a romance which isn’t my normal genre. But it doesn’t sound too bad. Then there’s Smoking Poppy by Graham Joyce about a father trying to rescue his daughter from a Thai prison where she’s been sentanced for drug smuggling (reminded me of Brokedown Palace). The Turtle Warrior by Mary Relindes Ellis sounds like a sad story, about a little boy trying to protect his mother from his abusive father after his older brother enlists in the army. And the one I’m most interested in, and will probably read first, Beijing Doll. It’s by Chinese teen Chun Su about her exploration into sexuality and China’s rock-and-roll subculture. I got that off the back. It sounds like an incredibly interesting book. It’s apparently banned in China.
Well that was longer then expected. I’m now going to finish watching Cast Away, which seems a little sadder now knowing what was in that package (it should have been obvious the first time but I just didn’t think about it). I think the scariest part would be floating in the middle of the ocean in the middle of the night…

I love your “sunsets” collection at Frame For Thought. They are absolutely beautiful! I too am and avid reader. It isn’t unusual for me to have 3 or 4 books going at the same time.
